Consortium helps EPAL to become 100% self-sufficient

“Image4All's priority is to ensure the optimization of energy use, in the certainty that energy efficiency increases and improves the profitability and sustainability of the business. This project responds to EPAL's strategy of achieving energy neutrality in all its operations”, explains the CEO of Image4All, João Loureiro.

Mota-Engil Ativ and Image4All signed yesterday, Tuesday, a contract that gave life to a consortium responsible for the contract for the implementation of two projects for the production of electricity from photovoltaic sources within the scope of “the program “EPAL 0% – Energy Neutrality”.

The amount involved in the agreement amounts to almost two million euros and was made with a view to meeting the challenge of the water company becoming 100% self-sufficient in energy.

In a note sent to the press, it is mentioned that Image4All – in consortium with Mota-Engil Ativ – was awarded the contract for the Design/Construction of the Unit for the Production of Electric Energy from a photovoltaic source for self-consumption in the Valada-Tejo Capture and the unit production of electricity from a photovoltaic source for self-consumption at the ETA in Vale da Pedra, including Operation and Maintenance services.

“Energy optimization in its multiple aspects is structural for the future and Image4All works to enhance and develop it”, says the executive director, stressing that the group has “been innovating in the answers and expanding the range of solutions to add value for clients and projects from different sectors”.

The contract was signed on the sidelines of the public presentation of the “EPAL 0% – Energy Neutrality” program.

“The program will allow EPAL to achieve energy neutrality in all its operations, through an integrated mix of energy efficiency actions, production of its own energy from renewable sources with the installation of hydroelectric, wind and and photovoltaics, installation of microgrids, digitization and storage operations in water reservoirs”, is explained in the same note.
